We Are The Union "Who We Are" Vinyl Re-Issue

We are extremely pleased to announce that we will be re-issuing "Who We Are", the 2007 debut album from the CA/MI pop-punk ska progenitors We Are The Union!  It's been more than a decade since the album's original vinyl release (of which there were extremely limited copies), and the band has been anxious to get it re-pressed for it's 10th anniversary with updated album art.  This pressing will be limited to 600, with 300 on translucent green and 300 on solid white.

If you've followed ska-punk at all for the past decade, there is an extremely good chance that you've seen We Are The Union tear up a venue somewhere across the US and have gone home to throw this album into heavy rotation.  An instant classic when it was released, the record defined the pop-punk / ska crossover sound that would come to dominate the late 2000's - many bands tried to emulate it, but few have succeeded so seemingly effortlessly.  Powered first and foremost by the anthemic and memorable vocals of Reed Walcott, the record is equal parts speedy pop-punk, hardcore, and ska, all with a melodic trombone cherry-on-top.  Track 4 of Side A contains the band's arguably best know song "I'm like John Cusack..."; a quintessential pop-punk anthem that will have you stage-diving off your couch, with a horn line you'll have stuck in your head for days. If you're a ska-punk fan and you haven't heard this record yet.... frankly, I'm a little jealous.  You're in for a treat.

The album is currently available for pre-order via the band's Kickstarter campaign;  with a donation to their recent recording effort, you're able to secure you're copy of "Who We Are" AND receive a download of their BRAND NEW 2018 release.  If copies are still available after the kickstarter, they will be available at badtimerecords.com.  "Who We Are" will officially release and ship on October 4th, just in time for We Are The Union's nationwide tour with Reel Big Fish.

We are extremely happy to be working with We Are The Union on this release, and look forward to getting this excellent record into your hands.  Stay tuned for more release news, and a debut EP announcement for a fantastic up-and-coming ska band coming in mid-September.

Thanks as always for supporting independent ska-punk music!
